June 4th from 1-3pm (CST) F309 Pain Management Webcast & Live Training Seminar

Course Summary:

Nationally accepted Standards of Clinical Practice include the new guidelines for F309 that was published in Advance with an implementation date of March 1, 2009. We will discuss the changes to F309 including pain management and the new Quality of Care investigative protocol with the use of foundational tools in assessing resident care. We will assist your facility with tools to help you “keep your arms” around your nursing practice as it relates to this critical practice. In addition, we will review additional components of F309 related to hospice, dialysis and non-pressure sore areas.

At the completion of this session, each participant should be able to:

Describe in detail the pain management component of F309
Determine what procedures need to be revised to meet the new guidance
Identify how new Quality of Care investigative protocol will be used
